I'm Ali Moody, a landscape and nature photographer based in Southern California. I'm drawn to color, shape, and detail — the textures and subjects that reward a closer look.
Photography is something I keep coming back to. There's something about being out in nature with a camera — actively looking — that makes me feel more present than most things do. Someone once asked if I'd still shoot even if nothing came of it. I didn't have to think about it!
I shoot mostly landscapes and wildlife, with a particular love for the American West — big rocks, wide open sky, everything nature has on offer out there. I never set out to do this for 25 years. I just never stopped.
Exploring new places is a big part of how I work, and there's still a lot I want to see.
